Now available! Clackamas County Bicycle map

The Clackamas County Bicycle Map is an interactive bike map providing information about the best routes for cyclists to use for commuting to work, local utility trips and recreational use. The map displays what bike infrastructure exists in both the urban and rural portions of the County. The map was developed with the goal of helping users select the best way to reach employment and other destinations by bicycle.

The interactive tool, useful for planning bicycle commute trips, shows bikeway by type: multi-use paths separate from roadway and on-street bike lanes. Other roads are divided into four categories (most suitable, moderately suitable, less suitable and difficult connection) based on their suitability for cycling.

Other features of the Clackamas County Bicycle Map include:

  • Recreational rides showcasing the best recreational rides in the county. Rides vary in length and ability level. Each ride has its own route map, ride summary, elevation profile and points of interest, with photographs.

  • Locations of amenities for bicyclists, including bike retail shops, “bike hub” repair stations and public water stops to refill water bottles. Users can click on an icon to get location and website information.

  • Light rail and commuter rail lines to assist travelers with combining bikes with transit.

  • Information on trip planning, including links to Metro’s Bike There map, TriMet trip planner, and more.

  • Coverage of the entire county and adjacent jurisdictions including the City of Portland.

The map was developed by the Clackamas County Department of Transportation and Development (DTD), in collaboration with Mt. Hood Territory and the Clackamas County Pedestrian and Bikeway Advisory Committee (PBAC). Employers are invited to share the online bike with employees and/or pick up a free hard copy version at the Clackamas County Development Services Building - 150 Beavercreek Road, Oregon City, 3rd Floor Engineering Division.
