ODOT announces new statewide vanpool subsidy program

Long, expensive commutes can reduce job satisfaction, contribute to employee turnover, and make it harder to attract talent. Employers can help their workforce access a more affordable and sustainable commute through Oregon’s new Get There by Vanpool program.

The new public program provides statewide vanpool management services and a subsidy to help reduce employee commute costs. Vanpools let employees (typically 5-14) who live near each other and have longer commutes (about 20+ miles) share the ride to work and the cost.

Get There Portland Metro, our partners and Commute with Enterprise work directly with employers to start, promote, operate, and manage vanpools at no cost. Services available statewide cover employee program setup, rider matching, driver onboarding, route planning, vehicle rental and maintenance, insurance, and vanpool administration.
